ManTech is seeking a Junior Systems Modeler to support our operations in Virginia Beach, VA.
Position Overview:
Provide support that can identify, compare, analyze and recommend data standards for a variety of future and existing digital products for the purpose of establishing contract requirements and enable the electronic passing of data from one data warehouse or application to another. It is desired to have an understanding of the application of data science including data mining and analytics that when applied provide for data driven decisions.
Education and Requirements:
- Must be eligible to obtain/maintain a Secret level clearance.
- Familiarity with Requirements Analysis is desired.
- DoDAF 2.02 and Capability Integration (JCIDS) Familiarity is desired.
- Use Case modeling, Activity modeling, and Business modeling experience is desired.
- Familiarity with Magic Draw/CAMEO and SysML is desired.
- Legacy system modeling experience.
- Systems engineering knowledge either through formal education or applied experience.
- 4-year degree in Systems Engineering or related discipline and 0-2 Systems Architecture experience OR 4 year degree in Computer Science or related discipline and 1 or more years of Systems Architecture experience.
Qualifications:
- Inform future digital engineering policies that provide commonality of technical requirements like ontology, lexicon, data & modeling environments, analytic applications and schema
- Develop and provide input on configuration management for all project architecture, model resident design specifications, and interface documents
- Provide support in all system engineering activities and processes, including: Monitoring and assessing sufficiency of vendor proposed hardware and software components, systems and configurations
- Review preliminary designs (hardware and software)
- Review Engineering Change Proposals, requests for deviation/waiver of requirements, component substitutions and requests for enhancements
- Monitoring all Hardware and Software Trouble/Problem Reporting, including causal effect analysis and proposed resolution
- Interoperability and integration related engineering activities
- Provide technical assistance to Local and Program Configuration Control Boards (CCB)
- System Logistic Support analysis
- System Functional Support analysis
- Develop initial operational and system architectural views as it applies to SSL solutions level and selected ship/platform fleet integration
- System engineering and technical support in the scope and development of interface, specification and related technical statutory/regulatory documentation.
- Participate in the collaborative process of identifying and capturing MBSE data with engineers and technical subject matter experts.
- Consolidate and report project status updates and issues
- Participate in MBSE-related technical and strategy discussions
