Job Summary

Synechron is seeking a skilled Java Full Stack Developer to join our dynamic technology team. This role is vital in designing, developing, and maintaining robust Java-based applications that support our business objectives. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions, contributing to the continuous improvement of our digital offerings and ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices.

Software Requirements

Required Software Skills:

• Proven proficiency in Java programming language, with hands-on experience in Java SE and Java EE (minimum 5+ years)

• Extensive knowledge of Java frameworks such as Spring (Spring Boot, Spring MVC), Hibernate, and Struts

• Experience working with Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) including Eclipse, IntelliJ IDEA, or NetBeans

• Strong familiarity with relational database systems like MySQL, Oracle, and SQL Server

• Version control tools such as Git or SVN

Preferred Software Skills:

• Knowledge of front-end technologies like HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and frameworks such as Angular or React

• Experience with build tools such as Maven or Gradle

• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration platforms like Docker and Kubernetes

• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automation tools

Overall Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain reliable, efficient, and scalable Java applications to meet business needs.

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, QA, and other developers to deliver integrated solutions.

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.

• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and consistency.

• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues efficiently to minimize downtime.

• Stay informed of emerging Java technologies and incorporate innovative approaches as appropriate.

• Contribute to architectural discussions and assist in designing system components.

• Prior experience in full-stack development (both backend and frontend) is advantageous

Alternate Experience Pathways:
Candidates with extensive backend Java expertise and strong frontend development skills are encouraged to apply, provided they demonstrate the capacity to work in full-stack roles.

Day-to-Day Activities

• Write, review, and optimize Java code for various project modules

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams during daily stand-ups, planning sessions, and design reviews

• Conduct unit testing and validation of application functionality to ensure code quality

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly to maintain project timelines

• Participate in continuous learning initiatives to stay current with Java ecosystem advancements

• Assist in deploying applications and monitoring system performance post-release

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• Professional Java programming certification (e.g., Oracle Java Certification) is an asset.
