Job Summary:
We are looking for an IT Support Associate who will provide technical assistance and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues, including installation, configuration, and maintenance. Key responsibilities include diagnosing and resolving user problems, managing support tickets, documenting solutions, and ensuring systems run smoothly, often involving direct communication with users via phone, email, or chat.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide technical assistance to users, resolve hardware and software issues, and answer technical questions.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, networks, and applications.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot problems, errors, and technical issues to find and implement effective solutions.
- Manage and prioritize support tickets, track issues, and follow up with users to ensure resolution.
- Maintain detailed records of issues and solutions, create and update user manuals, and build a knowledge base for future reference.
- Monitor the performance of technical systems and networks to prevent issues.
- Work with other teams, to escalate complex issues and provide feedback from users.
Required Skills:
- Operating Systems: Proficiency in common operating systems like Windows and MacOS.
- Network Cabling and Connectivity: Experience in network cabling and dressing along with cable tracing and connectivity
- Software and Hardware: Experience with common applications and the ability to install, configure, and troubleshoot software and hardware.
- Networking: Understanding of networking concepts to troubleshoot issues with networks, VPNs, DHCP and firewalls.
- Problem-Solving: The ability to logically analyze and resolve technical issues.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to explain complex problems to non-technical users.
- Customer Service: A helpful, patient, and customer-focused approach is essential for working with users.
- Teamwork: The capacity to collaborate effectively with other IT professionals.
Experience:
- Minimum: Fresh.
- Preferred: 6 Months - 2 yrs.
Education/Qualification:
- Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, Cyber Security, or related technical field.
