SSP is currently looking for an IT Program Manager to join our growing team in 2024.

The IT Program Manager will play a crucial role in bridging the business development efforts for IT-related contracts/projects with our execution team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in IT project management, business development, and technical expertise within the federal contracting sector to effectively coordinate and oversee projects from inception to completion.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with business development and sales teams to identify and qualify IT-related contracts and projects.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, understanding their IT requirements, and translating them into actionable project plans.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver IT projects on time, within budget, and meeting quality standards.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams, including software developers, engineers, and IT specialists.
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct regular project status meetings and provide timely updates to stakeholders.


  • Bachelor's degree/Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience (5 years) in IT project management, with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong understanding of IT systems, technologies, and methodologies.
  • Experience in business development, including identifying and pursuing new opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies.
  • Experience in the government contracting and/or 8a, Native-Owned companies would be helpful
