Morgan Stanley Private Equity Solutions (the Team), an investment team within MSIM, seeks to deliver innovative private markets solutions to a global client base across a variety of asset classes within private equity and related strategies. The Team is comprised of over 60 investment professionals based in suburban Philadelphia, New York, London, and Hong Kong and manages a global program across primary fund investing, co-investing, and secondaries in developed and emerging markets. The Team also has a strong and growing leadership position across impact-oriented strategies, including social impact, climate solutions, and racial & gender equity. Overall, the Team has invested over $26bn across almost 1,100 opportunities, as of March 31, 2024.
Investment professionals at the Analyst/Associate level work closely with senior investment professionals on 4-5 person deal teams and are responsible for investment analysis, research, and investment process management. The private markets program spans asset classes from venture capital to leveraged buyouts and special situations. The position is available in suburban Philadelphia.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Creating and executing financial analyses in support of the investment process (e.g., financial statement analysis, LBO models, returns and sensitivity analysis, comparable company valuation analysis, etc.)
• Conducting fundamental research on a wide range of geographies, industries, companies, and macroeconomic trend
• Participating in investment diligence including calls / meetings with industry experts, equity research analysts, management teams and private equity sponsor
• Supporting investment sourcing, client service requests, and portfolio monitoring and other organizational processe
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree and related work experience
• Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skill
• Strong verbal and written communication skill
• Quantitative modeling experience
• An understanding of financial concepts, valuation, and accounting
• A high level of attention-to-detail
• An ability to meet challenging deadlines while maintaining quality and accuracy
• A high level of interest in global macroeconomic investment trend
