The Role: 

The UX team at Viz.ai is looking for a talented, up-and-coming UX Researcher with a background in Human Centered Design (HCD), Product Design, Psychology, or Anthropology to join our team for Fall 2022. As a UX Research Intern, you will be responsible for furthering innovation at Viz.ai by surfacing strategic findings and employing a mixed-methods approach to research. The UX Research Intern will work closely with the Product team and the Lead UX Researcher culminating in a capstone project. 

You will: 

• Assist the Lead UX Researcher and Product team with coordinating and conducting human factors usability testing 
• Conduct and analyze ongoing qualitative research initiatives 
• Provide support in maintaining research documentation and capturing research requests
• Learn to identify impactful insights and present research findings
• Develop your own approach to present compelling insights for a capstone project that you will lead
• Evaluate the existing UX Research process and identify opportunities to optimize and innovate

Requirements: 

• 0-3 years relevant experience
• Must have a demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in UX Research
• A portfolio with a minimum of one case study that represents your experience conducting end-to-end UX research
• Bachelor’s Degree in HCD, Psychology, Anthropology, or Behavioral Science preferred

What success looks like:

• You will successfully apply your learnings to scope and conduct a capstone research project
• You will gain an understanding of the existing UX Research operations process and propose improvements that boost efficiency
• You will become a knowledgeable guide to Product Team research partners and facilitate successful engagements
• After 4 weeks you will be trained and able to conduct your own research sessions and develop an implementation plan.
