Job Summary:

Alert Logic, the industry's first SaaS-enabled MDR (Managed Detection Response) provider, is hiring for a Intern position in the Threat Intelligence Labs Research team. The Research team at Alert Logic acquires vulnerability or threat information from internal telemetry and external sources. Using this information, a intern is expected assist security researchers and other teams within the Threat intelligence pillar with data collection/validation, tool creation/maintenance, and other tasks that teams may need assistance with.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Document existing tools and procedures
• Create or improve tools that will help automate common tasks performed by Threat Intel team member
• Assist with data collection, validation, and transformation
• Assist with parsing/normalizing third party data
• Assist with updating Jira tickets and data entry into Threat Intelligence tools
• Assist with setting up datadog dashboards to help monitoring internal tools
• Performs other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Experience:

• Basic python programming skills
• A strong desire to learn programing and cyber security
• Basic knowledge of regular expressions
• Desire to learn data parsing techniques
• Knowledge of basic SQL syntax
• Strong ethics and integrity
• Dynamic, fast learner and versatile individual, willing to learn and explore the field of security research
