About the job
The Red Hat Global Resilience Management team is looking for a Third Party Risk Program Intern to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will collaboratively support global business units and risk partners in the execution of our Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) program. TPRM at Red Hat establishes and supports the framework for identifying, categorizing, monitoring, and mitigating risk associated with doing business with third party organizations. You'll analyze complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to identify and interpret trends, strengths and weaknesses. You'll work with and support key TPRM team members to gain exposure throughout the TPRM lifecycle.
What you will do

  • Ensure that appropriate TPRM activities are completed on time; manage any risk exposures related to third-party service providers
  • Assist in supporting global risk partners and stakeholders engaging with the TPRM process using ServiceNow Vendor Risk Management (VRM) module and other internal and external data sources
  • Help develop metrics and reports which ensure that risks are identified, analyzed, reported, and controlled throughout the third party life cycle to ensure compliance with policies and regulations
  • Assist in the production of ad hoc reporting and analyses of the TPRM program producing visualizations of quantitative data as needed
  • Produce and maintain evidence that TPRM processes are followed

  • Understanding of information security, data privacy, business controls, and business continuity requirements
  • Good verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Ability to work without direct supervision and as part of a global team
  • Ability to work full-time May-August
  • Currently pursuing a degree; if you have graduated, be no more than 6 months past your graduation date at the start of the internship


The following are considered a plus:

  • Knowledge of leading industry security standards, associated controls, and audit requirements for compliance
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in information systems, business management, or related data analytics discipline
  • Willingness to work flexible hours to support global audience
  • Proficiency in standard PC programs like Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Microsoft Office or Apache OpenOffice offerings
