Technical Program Manager Intern-Summer 2022
QTE is an engineering team ensuring Quality of Service within the media streaming experience. We deliver an analysis of media performance and metrics, thoughtfully researched solutions, and flexible services, models, and data feedback loops in the critical path of media selection and playback. Our work directly influences the selection, stability, and quality of media experience delivered to customers for our products and champions the value of quality of experience, telemetry collection, and analysis in media selection criteria.
Responsibilities :
As a TPM intern, you'll assist with the daily activities and development goals by working closely with engineers and product teams. You'll be responsible for helping coordinate software releases, allocate resources, and define processes. Work with stakeholders and interns from other teams, enabling them to deliver quality and timely improvements. Primary responsibilities may include assisting with the following: Assist in managing projects of varying size and scope, identifying and delivering on priorities Collaborating with engineering and product teams to coordinate technical projects Defining schedules for upcoming projects and clearly communicating goals to team members Managing dependencies, and tracking release timelines across the development team Measuring impact by tracking meaningful metrics |
Basic Qualifications :
-Display initiative and take a proactive approach at finding ways to remove barriers to move a project forward.
-Ability and desire to embrace complex technical ecosystems quickly.
-Familiarity with basic computer science concepts
-Comfort in a fast-paced environment
-Good written and verbal communication skills.
-Solid organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
-Knowledge of CDN
-Ability to read and understand code (Go and Scola)
-Experience with object-oriented programming languages (Java and Python)
Required Education :
Currently enrolled undergraduate student studying Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering or related field at an accredited college/university and returning to school following the internship.
Additional Information :
- At the time of application, must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program
- Must possess unrestricted work authorization
- Must provide full work availability
- Program Length: The approximate dates of this internship are May/June - August/September 2022. Interns must be fully available for the duration of a 12 week assignment
