The role reports to the Applications Engineering Manager and is located in Cleveland, Ohio. Systems engineering consists of the design, development, and introduction of systems to effectively utilize state-of-the-art developments encompassing various engineering and related fields and associated products within the utility industry.
Your responsibilities

  • -Work with an engineering team to assist with various aspects of our control systems projects for customers
  • -Hardware and software design and testing
  • -Use computer programs to perform various engineering operations
  • -Conduct analyses and provide related data and information
  • Motivated to troubleshoot and research solutions during the duration while working on projects
  • -Attend training sessions both in person and on the job
  • -Ability to work a hybrid work schedule - both in the Cleveland office and remote from Cleveland

Your background

  • -Currently enrolled in a degree program in the US
  • -Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • -Must be pursuing a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, mechanical engineering, or chemical engineering
  • -Power Plant/Process Control Experience is preferred
  • -Proficient in the use of MS Office, specifically, Word, Excel & Visio
  • -Familiarization with DCS/PLC and Networks is preferred
  • -Strategic approach to problem solving, ability to analyze complex issues
  • -Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
  • -Strong customer service focus when supporting clients on proposal issues
  • -Must be highly motivated and have the ability to handle concurrent assignments
  • -Must be currently authorized to work for ABB in the US
