System Integration Engineer Intern - Summer 2022

Role Summary
A System Integration Engineer act as a liaison between System Requirements, System Architecture and Manufacturing group. The activities associated with Integration Engineering are Hardware and Software Interface documentation, DFMEA, triage meetings for defects identified during ED, DV, and PV.
Key Responsibilities
• Responsible to define the system's context, boundary, and P-Diagram • Responsible to ensure that the system design is agreed and communicated to all stakeholders using the approved tools and methods• Responsible to ensure consistency between the system requirements and system architecture• Leads the triage meeting for defects identified during ED, DV, and PV • Leads the triage meeting for defects identified during Bench testing and vehicle testing • Responsible to create and release the Manufacturing Final tester specification• Responsible to create and release the Stakeholder Checkout Test plan• Creates and release the ED, DV, PV tester specification• Act as main point of contact with manufacturing team for System Engineering activities and defects• Responsible to create the requirements document for record and replace systems (if applicable)• Responsible to create and release the Hardware and Software interface document.
Key Qualifications/Requirements
• Excellent communication skills• Decision-making and Analytical skills• Knowledge of V-cycle development model.• Preferred: Knowledge of Automotive communication protocols (e.g., CAN, Ethernet, CAN FD, etc.)• Preferred: Knowledge of Requirements Management Tools (e.g., PTC Integrity, IBM DOORS, etc.)• Preferred: Knowledge of VECTOR tools. (e.g., CANalizer, CANoe, etc.) • Preferred: Knowledge of DFMEA cycle.• Organizational skills and Attention to detail
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE• High School Diploma • Currently Attending a college or University• Enrolled in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or System Engineering undergraduate programs.
Additional Information
• Proficient Computer knowledge and skills, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) • Professional Communication skills (written and verbal) • Strong technical and analytical competence in select areas of technology.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT: • Normal amount of sitting or standing, average mobility to move around an office environment, able to conduct normal amount of work at a computer
