Job Description

Summary of Internship

Intern prioritizes, schedules and monitors the movement of material through the production cycle. This role is responsible for determining material requirements from engineering and production schedules, coordinating the efficient movement of materials with purchasing, production, and engineering. Intern is responsible for system(s) data input and integrity. Collaboration with Product Management, Operations, Supply Chain in effort to develop schedules that meet business and customer expectations. Implementation of process improvement opportunities.

Essential Functions

  • Production Schedule creation to meet business and customer expectation
  • Prioritization of Production via Product Mgt, Operations, Supply Chain escalation and alignment.
  • Manage Customer Lead times to ensure world class reliability
  • Assure material availability at site
  • Manage inventory levels by defining clear max inventory levels and manage to those
  • First level of escalation and management of supply component interruptions
  • Responsible to plan material ramp/up and ramp-down
  • Maintain master data - MOQ's, safety stock, min/max, Lead times
  • Finished Product and Raw Material Inventory Health (DOS, E&O, MOQs, SS)
  • Process Optimization Projects



Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a cross-functional team
  • Willingness to learn, be mentored, and improve
  • Exceptional customer focus
  • Solid Understanding of concepts of inventory flow, inventory management, and distribution planning
  • Excel capabilities and aptitude for mass data manipulation
  • Aptitude towards ERP/MRP Planning systems



Qualifications

  • Student currently enrolled in classes leading to a Business Degree in Supply Chain Management ( or like field )
  • Proficiency with Microsoft software (Excel, Word, Access, Outlook)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate critical information.
