Are you an aspiring (or experienced) product manager who thrives in a fast-paced collaborative environment and loves working with the best technology teams in the world? Are you interested in owning and driving data platform initiatives to meet a comprehensive analytics and insights needs across our entire enterprise? If so, this product management role is for you.

You will own and drive parts of our cloud-native platform ecosystem that highly enables analytics on big data for all of Salesforce. You will engage Salesforce-wide data & insights consumers to understand their needs and jobs to be done, and closely work with product managers, software engineers, data and service owners, Security, and several other cross-functional global teams to define, build and execute on key platform and analytics/insights capabilities. You will build meaningful relationships with teams and management in many Salesforce business units to drive implementation, execution, metrics, and sustainability of the platform mission to support all Salesforce business, customer, and operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute in development of product vision, and help delivery of that vision via user experience driven platform design, user requirements, market assessments, scalable delivery plan, and marketing communications.
  • Engage customers, partners and internal stakeholders to determine business requirements, technical considerations and strategic objectives.
  • Manage product backlog and sprint priority including creating user stories, defining project exit criteria
  • Collaborate with PM, engineering, and operations peers to deliver strategic and tactical plans and objectives.
  • Strive to continuously improve current service visibility, incident response and insights, quality and capabilities through new services or processes.
  • Serve as a product owner on the scrum team(s) and work with engineers to deliver a quality product on time.
  • Engage with our partner and customer communities to drive customer enthusiasm and product adoption. Working closely with key customers to envision, plan, and execute along with assigned architecture and consulting resources.

Experience/Skills Required:

  • 3+ years of experience in technology companies with a proven track record of being part of development of awesome platforms and/or products from concept to delivery.
  • Demonstrated capabilities in gathering and transforming product requirements into an actionable product roadmap
  • Good grasp on platform user experience / design sense
  • Top notch written and oral communication skills, including experience/capabilities presenting to executive leadership, and evangelizing products
  • Strong collaboration, influence, and negotiation skills to align the stakeholders around prioritization and delivery of product roadmap
  • Well-developed management and strategic-thinking skills, with the ability to excite and lead others.

Desired Skills:

  • 3-5+ years of industry/professional experience prior to pursuing MBA. Knowledge in at least some of the areas including big data technologies, Analytics & ML/AI at scale, public cloud services, and cloud native architectures
  • Knowledge in cloud infra, platform, and data services
  • Understanding of product lifecycle; ability to adjust and apply this knowledge in a dynamic environment using agile or similar methodologies
  • Understanding of secure software development lifecycle from coding to deployment
  • BS/MS Degree in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent. Current 1st year MBA student (Spring 2023 grad)


Location: San Francisco or Bellevue (Seattle)
