The Red Hat North East Sales team is looking for a highly motivated individual who wants to gain practical experience with open source and Red Hat's offerings during an internship to join us in Raleigh, NC as a Solutions Architect Intern. In this role, you will work in an environment where diverse perspectives are invited, the best ideas are valued, and people feel empowered to contribute. What you will do

  • Develop familiarity with company sales objectives, product positioning, pricing, and models
  • Build skills that can help translate customer needs and business requirements into technical solutions
  • Assist in gathering of architecture, design, and presentation of solutions to meet customer needs alongside of our solution architects
  • Collaborate with multiple groups at Red Hat and an independent software vendor (ISV) partner
  • Help us create a technical sales campaign and content from start to finish
  • Work closely with technical sales and support organizations


What you will bring

  • Ability to work full-time May-August
  • Currently pursuing a degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field; if you have graduated, be no more than 12 months past your graduation date
  • Passion for open source
  • Knowledge of the Unix or Linux operating system of any distribution
  • Coding experience in languages like C or Python
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Previous code contributions to or participation in open source projects or code samples on GitHub are a plus
  • Knowledge of Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform, Kubernetes, JavaScript, or Bash scripting is a plus
