Sol Systems is seeking an Intern for our Solar Renewable Energy Credit “SREC” Operations Team to assist the with customer account management and implementation of process improvements and efficiencies. Through this position, the Intern will gain knowledge of state renewable portfolio standards and SREC markets; learn about the customer account management and business development best practices; and improve writing skills with the potential to be published on Sol Systems Blog. This position provides a fantastic launching pad for a career in renewable energy.

Customers rely on Sol Systems to sell their solar renewable energy credits (SRECs), an important source of revenue from their solar installations. The collaboration of the SREC Operations Team with the SREC Trading Team is essential to the success of this business line, which has been profitable since its 2008 inception.

The SREC Operations and Asset Management Intern will be responsible for:

• Leveraging quantitative skills to analyze and track customers’ monthly solar production
• Analyzing documents and materials required for SREC certification with state public service commissions and the Generation Attribute Tracking System (GATS)
• Supporting project-based business development initiatives to retain existing customers and reach out to potential customers
• Contributing content on SREC markets and events to the Sol Systems Blog
• Other assigned projects

A successful candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge of SQL is a plus
• Problem-Solving
• Extremely organized
• Strong interest in renewable energy

Location & Hours: This is a remote internship with a required 30-40 hours per week.

Compensation: This is a paid internship. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
