About the Internship Program:
Our 11-week summer intern program provides experience in a collaborative and inclusive environment. As an Ameriprise Financial intern, you will gain exposure to leaders, cultivate your business intuition, work on projects that directly impact the business, and network in a welcoming atmosphere. Responsibilities
The Software Engineering Internship provides an opportunity to work with a cross-functional team of designers, engineers, and product owners to improve and maintain our prospect and client experience on our various digital assets. Responsibilities vary depending on assigned product team(s) and may include:
- Agile software/product development
- Front-end engineering in the context of large multi-team applications
- DevOps, CI/CD, Kubernetes, and Cloud deployments
- Development on design systems and scalable component libraries
- Digital Analytics framework development
The program may include project work in the following areas:
- JavaScript development (focus on React, ES6, Node, TypeScript) on an agile product team
- Development on digital analytics, monitoring, and other kinds of event measurement
- Developing Proof-of-Concept (PoCs), Minimal Viable Product (MVPs) as needed
Required Qualifications
- Current Junior at a 4-year university pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
- Graduation date of December 2023 or May/June 2024
- Demonstrated interest in design, and engineering processes
- Demonstrated leadership experience
