Abrigo is looking for interns who are eager to expand their skillset in preparation for a career in Software Engineering. We are an industry-leading software provider that helps banks and credit unions combat financial crime, manage credit risk, and drive growth through our lending solutions. The intern role will work closely with the Abrigo Lending, Credit, Risk Management, and Financial Crimes teams to build web-based industry-leading software solutions for banks.

You will gain experience in architectural planning, software design, implementation, and automated testing. You will use software and tools commonly used by technology companies and build foundational skills that are applicable to all software development roles, but web development roles specifically. What You'll Do:

• Work with your team members on timely and relevant projects that may be included in a future software release
• Create dynamic web applications using Vue.Js, C#, and Web APIs
• Partner closely with cross functional teams in design, product, and other business units
• Participate in individual and group projects related to your team's product suite
• Gain industry and market relevant skills to kick-start your career
• Build a professional network
• Weekly lunch and learns on broad business and "real world" topics to learn about personal finance, how to evaluate employee benefits, what is a total rewards package, what's an org chart and more!
• Be a full member of the Penguin team: participate in team meetings, events, and company Employee Resource Groups (ERGs)

What You'll Need:

• Currently enrolled in a full-time degree-seeking program and in the process of obtaining a Bachelors or Masters degree in computer science or a related field
• Experience coding in an industry-standard language (C#, Java, JavaScript)
• Demonstrated software engineering experience from a previous internship, work experience, coding competitions, or publications
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A competitive nature, a drive to win, and work ethic to get you there
• Hungry for insights into how your business works and where it can improve
• Energy, creativity, positivity, and enthusiasm
• Customer service experience is a plus
• Experience with MS Excel or equivalent and email preferred
