Department OverviewThis position is for a software engineering summer internship at Motorola Solutions in Chicago, Illinois or Schaumburg, Illinois. Motorola Solutions is the market leader in delivering large scale communications systems for the federal and public safety markets. These systems support the mission critical communications needs of organizations such as police, fire, EMS, DEA, customs and border patrol, as well as many others.
Job Description
Software Engineers at Motorola Solutions are involved in the design and development of state of the art microprocessor/computer-based digital communication systems.
Your responsibilities may include some, or all of the following: capturing requirements, developing software solutions through architecture, detailed design and coding, design validation in box and system verification phases. Candidates must apply good communication and interpersonal skills toward solving problems in a team environment.
Software Engineers at Motorola Solutions use state of the art tools on networked workstations. Areas of specialization include cybersecurity applications, embedded software, mobile device application software, agile methods, information assurance, virtualization, Linux, Windows, Android and iOS
