Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Science Intern for employment in the Omaha, NE office. This position would support the Environmental business line, primarily working on Department of Defense projects.

This position is expected to begin around May 2022. This is expected to be a full-time internship for the duration of the summer (with the potential to be longer as reasonably discussed).

Job Overview:

This full-time internship position will support our Remediation team both in office and in the field.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
  • Assist in preparing engineering related calculations, design drawings, specifications, and visual aids;
  • Collect and enter data, and apply technical principles and theories to assist in interpreting and analyzing data;
  • Compare investigation findings to relevant studies and local, state, and federal regulations to assess compliance, draft reports documenting results and presenting findings; and
  • Miscellaneous assignments on an as-needed basis.
Minimum Requirements
  • Currently in pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science/Geology/Environmental Engineering or related field
  • Capable of using a spreadsheet, word processing and standard office software
  • Must have completed 2 years of schooling in a relevant degree program
  • Due to the nature of work, U.S. Citizenship is required
  • Valid Driver's License
Preferred Qualifications
  • OSHA HAZWOPER 40 Hour training
  • GIS and/or CAD skills

  • Relocation is not available for this position.
