Sales Technical Extended Intern
About the Role:
As a Sales Engineer Intern in the Sales Tech Program, you will spend approximately twelve months in our competitive and immersive program gaining hands-on experience while working side by side with top Cyber Security Sales & Sales Engineering Leaders!
The CrowdStrike Corporate Sales Engineering Team is a vital part of the CrowdStrike organization and is growing fast. We currently have extended term internships for candidates seeking a sales engineering career path within our award winning company. With this internship you will master CrowdStrike product knowledge, technical requirements, gain experience on how to present a complex solution to a wide variety of audiences, and develop the fundamental skills needed for a successful Sales Engineer career.
Sales Engineering, also referred to as “technical sales” or “presales engineering” is a specialty profession which requires a balanced skill set of soft skills (people skills) and technology skills.
Assignment Dates: 1
1-12 Months Total [Part Time & Full Time Hybrid]
January – May 2022 [Part Time]
June – August 2022 [Full Time for 10 weeks – tentative June 13, 2022 start]
September – December 2022 [Part Time]
Majors Welcomed to Apply:
Cyber Security, Business Majors (Prefer MIS concentrations), and Computer Science
Responsibilities/Projects Include (not limited to):
Develop and apply workplace knowledge, building toward a specialization in Technical Sales.
Learn global sales policies and procedures, corporate workplace ethics, and organizational behavior skills.
Execute hardware and software performance testing, benchmarking, and tuning.
Engage sales and engineering leaders, and cross-functional teams with ad-hoc projects.
Optimize and implement technical sales tools and resources.
Gather and apply technical knowledge to complete day-to-day activities.
Work within technical sales operations: metrics, KPIs, workflows, sales activities, and tools.
Potential Areas of Responsibility Include:
Engage in real-world sales projects, campaigns, and customer events that will impact revenue and growth.
Develop and deliver technical demonstrations and collateral for internal CrowdStrike needs, customers, and partners.
Who You Are:
A university junior not graduating prior to summer 2022
Class courses in Cyber Security, Business Majors (Prefer MIS concentrations), and Computer Science
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Apps (Word/Doc, Excel/Sheets, PPoint/Slides are key tools for this role).
Previous experience with Salesforce, Outreach, LinkedIn Sales Navigator and Domo (preferred)
Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Team player who is equally independent
Resourceful with the ability to handle multiple tasks, and prioritize work in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment without compromising quality.
Energetic, personable, resilient and responsive
Equally passionate about business and technology with an interest in mentorship from top sales engineering professionals
