Job Summary: The Sales Support Intern for Umo Mobility will be assisting the sales team with accurate sales intelligence for Cubic's Umo Pass Software-as-a-Servicef transit payment platform for the US Mid-Market. The SaaS business model requires unique and speedy business decisions which are supported by data. This Intern role offers an opportunity to work with a dynamic team that is passionate about making the everyday use of public transportation better for millions of riders. You will support a team that has a proven success record of winning.

Who we are looking for:

We're looking for someone with a passion for learning about how we service our customers, sees the type of information we need to acquire more customers, and has a "can-do" attitude to help the team win. You have creative problem-solving skills. You are a self-starter who is not afraid to ask questions and suggest new ideas. You have strong interpersonal communication skills and the curiosity to learn how businesses acquire customers.

This role should be located in the Western part of the United States in order to align with the time zones of key Umo sales and operational personnel. We put a lot of trust in our team members and this person should develop their ability to know how to use their skills for the betterment of our platform, customers, and extended sales team.

What you'll be doing:

  • Sales and product training
  • Provide research on transit agency information, contract information, and competitive awareness
  • Learn the basics of our CRM platform, Salesforce.com, to update sales intelligence stored in the system
  • Support sales team members with required data, marketing information, and assets to assist with a sales pursuit
  • Assist with a smooth flow of feedback throughout the sales organization and encourage an environment of constructive feedback
  • Propose ideas to help maximize sales and contribute to new ideas for commercial offerings
  • Assist the sales team in organizing, reporting, and analyzing prospect and client data and sales
  • Works with Marketing teams on digital campaigns, webinars, events etc.
  • Provide assistance to maintaining a healthy Salesforce.com contact and opportunity database



Job Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Within the final year of a Four-year degree program or Masters Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Management, Marketing, Communications



Skills/Experience/Knowledge & Personal Qualities

  • An interest in potentially pursuing a career in Sales
  • Experience in a campus leadership position is highly preferred
  • Good organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills to deal with internal and external customers
  • Good writing skills. Usually clear and easy to understand
  • Willing to learn, actively solicits feedback and constructive criticism from others
  • Culturally aware
  • Language skills: English and Spanish a plus
  • Ability to perform analytical work
  • Self-motivated and creative
