The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Sales Intern to join us in summer 2022 in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will have endless opportunities to learn, grow, and be challenged. You will do more than just sell software. You'll help us share the story of how Red Hat creates innovative open source software by collaborating with a global community of customers, partners, and contributors. As a Sales Intern, you'll be encouraged to contribute your ideas, help solve complex problems, and make a difference on your very first day. Our program offers many opportunities to fully experience what it's like to be a Red Hatter, including lunch-and-learns with executives, volunteer opportunities, day trips, and after-work events. Come learn how to help customers implement the best technologies to solve their business problems.
What you will do
- Provide sales support to field sales professionals
- Research strategic and enterprise accounts and create detailed account plans
- Help improve attendance to marketing events
- Prospect and follow up on leads
- Sell Red Hat's comprehensive enterprise solutions
What you will bring
- Ability to work full-time May-August
- Currently pursuing a degree; if you have graduated, be no more than 6 months past your graduation date at the start of the internship
- Highly motivated with the ability to work in a fast-moving, technical environment
