Role Summary
Work with the Quality Engineering team on a variety of projects. Aid in the investigation and continuous improvement of Manufacturing process & Product Quality. Gather, track, and analyze data. Work closely with the Quality Engineering team to implement continuous improvement activities. This job is a good introduction to Quality Engineering & Manufacturing and can help a variety of disciplines understand the plant environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Documentation Review for accuracy and timely completion all quality programs (i.e. quality alerts, process flow, PFMEA, Control Plans.• Participate in implementation and effectiveness of customer related corrective actions.• Conduct process audits to ensure accuracy of paperwork and inspection aids are present meeting the line process flow.• Participate in Continuous Improvement activities for production.• Assess manufacturing issues to ensure quality systems/error proofing is not compromised (process deviation)• Participate in pre-launch programs with regards to design and specifications required & completing Gage R&R, Cap Studies.• Assist QE in Warranty returns and provide analysis of data as required.
Key Qualifications/Requirements
Great steppingstone for a variety of disciplines:• Quality Engineering• Product design & Mechanical Engineering (understand how design impacts manufacturing)• Electrical Engineering (Understand how electronics integrate into final product)• Supply Chain Management (Understand the workings of a manufacturing environment)• High School Diploma• Currently Attending a college or University• Proficient Computer knowledge and skills, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) • Professional Communication skills (written and verbal)
Additional Information
• Normal amount of sitting or standing, average mobility to move around an office environment, able to conduct normal amount of work at a computer.
