Wing is reshaping the future of delivery. We are an on-demand drone delivery service that can deliver food, medicine or other items within minutes. About the Program: 

Wing is hosting a 12 week paid internship during the summer of 2022. This is an in-person internship based in Palo Alto, CA with start dates in May and June. We’ll be reviewing applications and interviewing candidates on a rolling basis.

About the Opportunity: 

Program Management sits between strategy and execution – we are the team that drives the organization’s vision and mission towards reality. A Program Manager (PgM), similar to a Project Manager or Project Engineer, is tasked with creating the organization to structure work. At the outset of a new project, the Program Manager is working with product, engineering, and other business roles to define the scope and requirements, formulate the project schedule and manage completion of the work. The PgM helps keep the team unblocked by identifying and seeking to solve tricky problems. 

The Program Management Team at Wing is a group of highly-experienced project management professionals, with a mix of engineering, aviation and business backgrounds. At any given time we’re managing a busy portfolio of projects through different stages of the project lifecycle, for example a much-requested feature for our consumer app or a new vehicle software release. As part of this program, you’ll have the unique opportunity to grow your project management skill set while working on some very groundbreaking stuff.

What You’ll Need: 

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Management Science or related field, graduating between December 2022 and August 2023
• Self-starter mentality 

Bonus: 

• Experience in a customer or client facing role (e.g. retail, hospitality, or customer support)
• Experience in a leadership role (e.g. team or club captain, member of a student council, group project lead, teaching or resident assistant, or community group volunteer) 
• Full or partial project management training or accreditation (e.g. CAPM)
