In this role, you will work closely with the Sr Product Marketing Manager and be responsible for executing on specific product marketing tasks and objectives that promote the solutions and services of Intelsat's Mobility line of business (maritime, land mobile, and business aviation). Responsibilities will include: (1) Assisting in development of promotional material and website content; (2) managing deliverables of product marketing projects and activities; (3) supporting product and marketing events and webinars.
Preferred Qualification:
- Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field of study required. Marketing preferred.
- Project Management skills preferred.
- Research skills - comfortable conducting secondary research as required.
- Leadership - comfortable taking leadership of projects and demonstrates leadership qualities.
- Experience using Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel are required.
- Proactive (takes on ownership of responsibilities); creative thinker; contributes thoughts and ideas to team and in meetings; collaborates cross-functionally.
Job Responsibilities:
- You will learn many things about the satellite industry and how Intelsat's network supports Maritime use cases (merchant shipping; commercial fishing; yachts; offshore rigs), Land Mobile use cases (heavy equipment for mining, construction, and agriculture; emergency response; global government; transport & logistics), and business aviation use cases (business jet crew and passenger experience). You will also learn many things about the product marketing function within a large corporation.
- Specific projects you will work on include the following: Developing 2H 2023 Product Marketing Plan; supporting events and webinars, especially Fall Solutions Partner Symposium; developing and editing content for promotional materials and web; marketing campaign launches.
- You will attend many cross-functional meetings with product and with marketing, giving you exposure to various areas of business and how they function.
Minimum Requirements:
- Eligible candidates must be one of the following:
- Part-time or full-time students who have completed 24+ credit hours (rising sophomores/juniors/seniors) and are enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited college or university
- Part-time or full-time students enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited college or university
- May 2023 graduate
- Ability to exercise sound judgment, professionalism, and maturity in the workplace
- Effective communicator in both written and spoken English
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency in use of MSOffice Suite
- 3.0 GPA or above preferred
Summer Intern Program Description:
- 12 weeks starting on Monday, May 22, 2023 through August 11, 2023
- Schedule - 40 hours/week, Monday- Friday, 9 - 5 or regular core hours
- Hybrid environment (minimum 3 days in office location - preferably Tue/Wed/Thu)
