PerBlue is looking for a talented Product Management Intern to join our team for the summer of 2022. We're a growing independent studio whose free-to-play midcore mobile games are being played by millions of people around the world, including the award-winning Disney Heroes: Battle Mode.

Our team brings together experience from major studios in the videogame and technology industries. Headquartered in Madison, Wisconsin, we also work remotely around the United States for an unmatched quality of life and work.

As our ideal candidate, you're a current student in an MBA program. You're a passionate gamer who understands the RPG and strategy genres overall, and the free-to-play mobile aspects of these genres in particular. You can expect substantial ownership for the game on which you work during this internship while also providing support and collaboration with your team and the rest of the studio. You're driven, responsible, organized, decisive and a natural leader and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Assist in the research & development phases of an unannounced RPG or strategy title
  • Provide actionable suggestions to the team, based on market research
  • Participate in product roadmap planning and other team meetings as needed
  • Become familiar with business intelligence tools used to drive user acquisition, retention and monetization
  • Inform stakeholders of project risks and steps suggested to mitigate risks
  • Identify problems and discover solutions to those problems
  • Analyze the competitive landscape and know your target audience well
  • Develop business case for your game or features in a game
  • Assist studio leadership in other projects as assigned



Your experience

  • 2+ years of work experience
  • Currently a student pursuing an MBA
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Strong grasp of free-to-play game economies and monetization
  • Desire to work with mid/hardcore game genres and mechanics (esp. RPG & strategy)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Game Design, Business, Economics, Psychology, Engineering or other relevant field

Compensation and Benefits

We are headquartered in downtown Madison, Wisconsin with team members based around the US. We offer our interns a variety of other perks including daily lunch delivery, snack box delivery, and daily mentorship and guidance from video game industry experts.
