Responsibilities:
A Day in the Life...
Our team works on all Service Operations requests/incidents via a ticketing portal called SysAid. We strive to meet our SLA requirements, providing the best customer service possible. We work very closely with the Implementation and Architecture teams.
The team’s day to day operations include:
- Monitor and act upon incoming tickets to address client’s requests and issues in a timely manner
- Monitor, report, and keep our global network infrastructure running smoothly (includes Campuses, Data Centers, POPs, Studios, Cloud Environments, Postproduction Facilities, and Postproductions Houses)
- Pre-stage, load, and configure diverse network devices (firewalls, switches, access points, routers, load balancers, network appliances, etc.)
- Deploy network infrastructure in diverse physical locations
- Troubleshoot and isolate client issues related to network, storage, systems, digital media, video streaming, cloud, and application environments
- Work with team members to deploy, and operate infrastructure globally to support the movie production and distribution process
- Follow and implement Engineering Change Orders and/or Methods of Procedures with minimum or no supervision
- Generate quality documentation on network issues, changes, updates, root cause analysis, troubleshooting techniques, and network analysis, including diagrams/templates. Exercise consistent rigor in maintaining documentation
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience working with ticketing systems to resolve network inquiries
- Experience troubleshooting layer 1 issues
- Experience troubleshooting wireless issues
- Understanding and experience reading, analyzing, and troubleshooting Syslogs
- Understanding of Network Security principles and best practices
Required Education
Currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student studying Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field at an accredited college/university and returning to school following the internship.
Additional Information:
- At the time of application, must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program
- Must possess unrestricted work authorization
- Must provide full work availability
- Program Length: The approximate dates of this internship are May/June - August/September 2022. Interns must be fully available for the duration of a 12-week assignment.
