Network Engineer Intern - Infra & OPS
Job Description
Copart is seeking an Intern to join the fast-paced Network Engineering team. This candidate will gain experience working on an E-Business/E-Commerce/Real-Time Transactional and Corporate network infrastructure. You will be expected to interface and work with other members of the team, which includes other Network Engineers, AS/400 Engineers, and Unix Engineers, as well as the Development, QA, Helpdesk, Project Managers, and Remote Site personnel.
You can expect to be involved in the day-to-day operations of a highly available network consisting of routers, switches, load balancers, and firewalls. You will be exposed to technologies from multiple vendors including, but not limited to, Cisco, Fortigate and A10. You will learn how to architect and analyze new and existing networks, and be involved in the installation, configuration, management, and troubleshooting of all network components and technology.
Requirements
Required Experience
- Pursuing a degree in technology/network engineering OR working towards/completed CCNA or Network Certifications
- Preferred: Previous Networking Engineering internship or experience
- Bash shell, PERL, or Python scripting
- General software engineering knowledge
- Network automation
- BGP in a multi-homed, multi-site environment
- IGPs including OSPF and EIGRP
- MPLS and IPSEC WAN technologies
- Cisco IOS (Switches and Routers)
- A10 Load Balancers
- Cisco ASA Security Appliances
- Fortinet Firewalls
- Cisco ISE Authentication
- Meraki Wireless
- Packet capture/sniffer reading
- TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, FTP, SNMP, HTTP, NTP, SSH
