A day in the life of a Lockton intern:
As part of the Lender Review and Mergers & Acquisitions Team, you will assist with the following:
- Review certificates of insurance to ensure all lender standards are met upon renewal
- Monitor correspondence with brokers for certificates and endorsements
- Provide support to lenders with any questions, concerns and/or requests
- Run reports and determine benchmarking for potential deals
- Manage team project board to ensure all completed deals and appropriately reported and tracked
- Draft a variety of lender reports and provide information to respective team member(s)
- Additional responsibilities as requested by leadership
The most successful intern will meet the following qualifications:
- Must be enrolled in your Sophomore or Junior year of college
- Ability to work on-site (Houston office) year-round, 20-25 hours per week and full-time during breaks or as available
- Interest in pursuing a career within the Insurance field is a plus
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels of Associates and/or Clients
- Strong technical aptitude (Microsoft Office Suite)
- Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information
- Effective organizational and time management skills
- Demonstrate strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Excitement and natural curiosity to learn and develop in a supportive environment
- Legally able to work in the United States
