Project Description:

Looking for an intern to join the OT Connectivity team to support Xcel's Field Area Network (FAN). The entry level position will focus on supporting the various applications and databases needed to maintain reliable connectivity between our field end devices and Xcel's IT/OT infrastructure. Creating and updating tickets, database entry and learning initial troubleshooting for network devices will be the start while building the additional skills interfacing with different internal and external teams. While performing this work you will build upon your education experience, through mentoring, on how to maintain a Mesh network, perform RF design and learning how to troubleshoot remote network devices. This will be a summer opportunity with the potential to extend into a school semester. The candidate should be able to work full-time during the summer and 15-20 hrs./wk. during a school semester.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be a Junior or above and pursing a degree from an ABET accredited school in IT, Computer Science and other related fields
• Intro/Advance Information Technology courses
• Must be able to work part time during the school year and full time during the summer

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $20.40 per hour
