The Red Hat Internal Audit team is looking for a highly motivated individual who wants to gain practical experience and learn within an innovative and dynamic company during a summer internship as an Internal Audit Intern. What you will do

• Assist with internal audit planning and risk assessment activities
• Assist with carrying out financial, operational, and strategic audits
• Prepare work papers, schedules, and summaries
• Evaluate the sufficiency of and adherence to internal policies and procedures
• Perform internal control testing that supports the external audit of internal controls
• Proactively interact with management and stakeholders to gather information, analyze data, resolve problems, and make recommendations for business and process improvement

What you will bring

• Pursuing an undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, or other qualified, business related discipline; if you have graduated, be no more than 6 months past your graduation date
• Ability to work full time May-August
• Solid analytical skills with ability to quickly assess business processes and solve complex problems
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Demonstrated exceptional leadership ability and team building skills
• Commitment to quality, willingness to challenge current practice and innovate, continuous improvement mindset

The following are considered a plus:

• Knowledge of data analytics tools or processes
• Knowledge of Google Drive
• Passion for open source and working collaboratively
