The Red Hat Internal Audit team is looking for a highly motivated individual who wants to gain practical experience and learn within an innovative and dynamic company during a summer internship as an Internal Audit Intern. What you will do
- Assist with internal audit planning and risk assessment activities
- Assist with carrying out financial, operational, and strategic audits
- Prepare work papers, schedules, and summaries
- Evaluate the sufficiency of and adherence to internal policies and procedures
- Perform internal control testing that supports the external audit of internal controls
- Proactively interact with management and stakeholders to gather information, analyze data, resolve problems, and make recommendations for business and process improvement
What you will bring
- Pursuing an undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, or other qualified, business related discipline; if you have graduated, be no more than 6 months past your graduation date
- Ability to work full time May-August
- Solid analytical skills with ability to quickly assess business processes and solve complex problems
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated exceptional leadership ability and team building skills
- Commitment to quality, willingness to challenge current practice and innovate, continuous improvement mindset
The following are considered a plus:
- Knowledge of data analytics tools or processes
- Knowledge of Google Drive
- Passion for open source and working collaboratively
