  • Essential Job Functions
    • Essential Functions I
      • Pulls charts to facilitate patient care by retrieving charts for appointments, phone calls, recording, business office and other authorized requests.
        • Stat/Priority: pulled within 15 minutes
        • Normal: pulled within 1 hour
        • As needed: (including off-site) per request
      • Maintains medial records to ensure accessibility by organizing and filing information to be stored in the records such as reports, prescriptions, lab work, additional medical records, faxes, physicians notes and other pertinent information.
      • Process mail and other information to enhance communication within the department by opening and distributing to appropriate departments, outside entities and/or personnel.
      • Assists staff to facilitate the flow of records by retrieving, checking in/out and delivering records to appropriate location/personnel and communicating status of record.
        • Stat/Priority: retrieve within 15 minutes
        • Normal: retrieve within 1 hour
        • As needed(including off-site) per request
        • Accurate delivery 98% of the time
      • Assists patients to facilitate customer service by directing and answering questions accordingly to confidentiality policy regarding medical records.
        • No more than 3 valid complaints in a 12 month period.
        • Follows confidentiality policy 100% of the time.
    • Essential Functions II
      • Participates in mandatory in-services and/or CE programs as mandated by policies and procedures/external agencies and as directed by management.
      • Follows and understands the mission, vision, core values, Employee Standards of Behavior and company policies/procedures.
      • Other duties as assigned.
