As a Process Development Intern at Micron, you will achieve new goals and discover interactions for a dynamic project in process development while optimizing a variety of processes and/or anneals. We seek high-energy, knowledgeable individuals with strong aptitude and in the science of film deposition and characterization to join us. We hire highly motivated, daring, and aggressively focused individuals capable of solving complex problems as a member of a team or individually.
As an intern, you will plan, set up experiments, execute, interpret and guide based on your data while learning to operate state of the art films development reactors. We highly value our interns and make the experience memorable. At the end of your term, you will provide a detailed presentation of your work to the other members of the group. We look forward to hearing from you. This internship is intended for the summer of 2022 for 12 weeks.
Your abilities should include the following:

  • Shown knowledge of chemical kinetics and their direct application to CVD and ALD deposition processes in various deposition reactors.
  • A working aptitude of different types of thin film analysis techniques such as SIMS, XPS, EDS, AFM, SEM, TEM, XRR, FTIR, RBS.
  • Strong aptitude in unique thin film electrical evaluation methods and techniques such as capacitance and leakage measurements, dielectric relaxation, tunneling mechanism.
  • Analytical and insightful inferences from data sources, such as electrical and physical analysis.
  • Collaborating with a wide variety of people in different areas of process R&D and pilot production to effectively accomplish tasks in a timely manner.
  • Skillful in planning and executing effective, well-designed experiments and writing clear, concise reports documenting the results.
  • The ability to give and take constructive criticism from other team members and to receive and demonstrate mentoring to drive projects forward.
  • Taking a leading role in the project.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Flexibility to the job requirements.


Education:
MS or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or related semiconductor manufacturing field.
Graduation date should not be prior to September 2023
