What Your Job Will Be Like

Passionate about your work and dream of exploring and learning new solutions to network security? We are seeking an undergraduate intern to support our dynamic team and solve significant issues and challenges for our nation's security!
On any given day, you may be called on to:

  • Support the design and documentation of high reliability network systems
  • Implement virtual or physical computer systems
  • Configure and install networking components based on provided documentation
  • Develop documentation for installed or configured network components
  • Support cyber hardening of network components
  • Travel to support field work during school breaks

Qualifications We Require

You bring the confidence and skills to be eligible for the job by meeting these minimum requirements:

  • Currently attending and enrolled full time in a related accredited undergraduate program
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0
  • Ability to work up to 25 hours per week during the academic year, and up to 40 hours per week during the summer
  • U.S. citizenship



Qualifications We Desire

  • Candidates eager to learn new things and explore outside their comfort zone if they do not yet have the desired experience below.
  • Experience with some or all of: Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, Cisco, OSI Model, TCP/IP, Microsoft Visio, etc.
  • Experience with some or all of: routers, switches, SFPs, VLAN, etc.
  • Candidates comfortable with Windows and Linux based machines.
  • Candidates with experience/awareness of virtual machines.



About Our Team

The Surety Enhancements department's primary mission is to provide enhanced surety systems and security systems to ND, NNSA, and DOD. These responsibilities include the development of testing, integration, and certification of components and systems vital to advancing DoD surety world-wide and supporting design, technology development, and installation.

Security Clearance
