Join a fast-paced and talented agile engineering team to build and integrate the next generation of The Hartford Investment Management Company's (HIMCO) applications. We use the latest integration technologies, quality-first mindset, software engineering practices and delivery methodologies.

The Hartford's 11 week long Summer Internship program provides an exciting opportunity for high-performing college students and is designed to be the pipeline of talent into our full time Software Engineering positions.

Technologies you can work with and learn:

  • Integrations from on-premise Applications to Cloud-based Software-as-a-service products
  • Amazon, Datapower based API Gateways, RESTful APIs
  • DevSecOps
  • Cloud integration
  • QA Automation using UFT, Selenium
  • .NET and T-SQL development


Qualifications:

  • Computer Science undergraduate or graduate student looking for a Co-op or internship
  • A cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher (out of 4.0 scale or equivalent)
  • Demonstrated evidence of technical/analytical skills
  • Basic use of MS Office Suite through class assignments/work
  • Programming experience outside of the classroom
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship


Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
