Job Description

Wish’s Merchant Communications team is actively seeking a Content Strategist Intern to revamp our Help Center facing our global merchants across North America, Latin America, Europe, Southeast Asia, East Asia, and more regions. If you are a strong writer/editor and are passionate about presenting meticulously crafted educational content to target audiences around the world, we want to hear from you!
What you'll be doing:

  • Audit Merchants Help Center’s current content, structure, and processes to discover opportunities for improvement.
  • Prioritize areas of improvements and manage content revamp from start to finish based on a variety of content considerations, including accuracy, consistency, style/tone, grammar, formatting, and globalization/translation.
  • Research Help Center best practices and identify additional opportunities to improve Wish Merchants Help Center beyond low hanging fruit.
  • Collaborate closely with the rest of the Merchant Communications team to discuss Help Center best practices, clarify wording choices, and share resources and knowledge.
  • Dig into product and feature details by partnering with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders from logistics and business teams to ensure content is up-to-date.
  • Break down complex business and technical concepts and translate them into clear and easy-to-digest educational content in Merchants Help Center.

Qualifications

  • Working towards a degree in a related field such as English, Journalism, Communication, Business, etc.
  • Solid writing portfolio demonstrating writing/editing skills (educational or technical writing samples a plus) - interested applicants should include samples with their application submission
  • Experience writing for web or non-digital media such as newspapers that inform and educate target audiences.
  • Experience working on content-related projects from start to end in a team environment.
  • A curious and fast learner with a strong ability to ask questions, glean information, and apply to projects.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at once in a fast-paced environment and prioritize appropriately.
  • Globally-minded; have awareness that cultural and language nuances exist across different regions worldwide
  • Resourceful, proactive, fearless, and meticulous
  • Flexibility to work independently and in a team-based environment
  • Experience in tech/e-commerce, a plus
  • Available from January to April 2022 (full-time 40 hours per week preferred but flexible)
