Our Auburn Hills, MI location is seeking a highly self-motivated and detail-oriented Software Engineer Intern to join our engineering team! THE POSITION

The Software Engineer Intern will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

• Work within Software Team to design, implement, and test embedded software• Perform System and Software Requirement analysis using formal requirements engineering techniques• Scripting opportunities using Python or other languages to improve automatic test environments• Learn and Execute Standard Software Development Processes • Support strategic process improvement initiatives by analyzing current process performance and identifying improvement opportunities.• Opportunity to interface with other domains (i.e. Hardware, Systems)• Software analysis: static code analysis and dynamic code analysis• Software verification activities: module testing and integration testing• Debugging on emulator, module, and/or actual vehicle, including use of test equipment

Job Requirements

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be enrolled in a US accredited Electrical Engineering or similar degree program• Must maintain a minimum GPA of a 2.8• Must be able to work a minimum of 20 hours per week during normal business hours• Must be able to come onsite at our Auburn Hills, MI location• Good knowledge of embedded C• Basic knowledge of vehicle networks• Good understanding of embedded systems• Experience with scripting environments• Good problem-solving skills and curious• Able to work independently on new or complex assignments• Continental is not able to pay relocation expenses for this opportunity• Legal Authorization to work in the US is required.
