Micron's AI (Artificial Intelligence) DLA (Deep Learning Accelerator) team is seeking a qualified ML/DL (Machine Learning/Deep Learning) student to participate in a 3-6 month internship program that will focus on designing, developing and testing creative ML/DL applications utilizing Micron's DLA SW development tools and AI HW accelerators. The successful candidate will have hands-on AI experience with modern AI SW development tools and HW solutions. The Micron AI DLA team is part of Micron's new technology incubation program with a charter to develop market leading AI processing technology and solutions that will complement existing lines of business and identify pathways for new business opportunities. This is great opportunity for a ML/DL focused student to gain valuable experience working on the latest in AI technology in a fast paced "Start-up" like environment. The internship will be based at Micron's DLA Solutions Lab located in Folsom, CA and will report into the Director of AI Solutions.
Internship Candidate Requirements

• Proficient in C programming and Python (Pandas, Numpy, OpenCV, PyTorch and TensorFlow).
• Solid understanding of deep learning and machine learning fundamentals.
• Solid understanding of computer vision and/or natural language processing model training and inferencing.
• Experience in working with embedded systems (Arduino, ARM/RISC-V, w/cameras and other sensors) and robotics.
• Strong ability to break down and present complex information
• Strong communicator and creative problem-solver
• Computer Engineering or Computer Science MS/PhD major with focus on AI/DL a plus.
• Experience evaluating and building proof-of-concepts/demos with AI hardware products (such as Nvidia Jetson, Xavier, T4s, Intel Movidius, Xilinx FPGAs...etc.) a plus.
