PURPOSE: The Lincoln Electric Human Resource Internship will provide meaningful experiences that will enhance a student's education. The Intern will assist in various areas of the Human Resource Department to gain an understanding of functional responsibilities.

JOB DESCRIPTION (DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES)
  • Develop a understanding of all department's operations, processes, and systems
  • Assist functional HR Team members on projects below:
    • Organizational Development: Assist the Organizational Development team in communications and marketing of new global trainings and running analytics to measure success
    • Recruiting, Hiring, and Onboarding: Handle staffing and recruiting requests by posting job ads, reviewing incoming resumes for production hiring, assist the College Recruiting Specialist with scheduling events and support engagement activities for summer internship program. Work with team members in on-boarding all new employees.
    • Total Rewards: Partner with our global compensation team on reviewing best practices, prepare results from compensation surveys and support various activities such as the implementation of a compensation module and a job architecture project
    • HRIS Management: Assist with human resource information system (HRIS) records and reports
  • Assist with miscellaneous special projects as assigned
  • Assumes additional responsibilities as needed or directed in support of the Company's 2025 Strategy.


BASIC REQUIREMENTS
  • Rising senior pursuing a Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, marketing, or a related field.
  • 3.0 cumulative GPA
  • General knowledge of computer systems and programs including but not limited to, Microsoft Office Suite
  • Agile learning, attention to detail and a quality mindset, knowledge of standard business practices and professionalism in an HR environment as well as a passion for HR and serving our employee population
  • A passion to help in our Inclusion, Diversity & Equity journey - working toward a thriving community where everyone feels mutual respect, a sense of belonging and can express their whole s elves
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Must be able to maintain good attendance and work overtime as needed.
  • Strong attention to detail and strong analytical skills required
  • Must be able to perform all essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to work in the United States on a full-time, permanent basis
  • Ability to pass standard pre-employment testing which includes a background screen pre-employment physical exam, and a drug test
