Summary:

The Global Supply Chain Intern will gain exposure and experience in:
• The supervision of a medium to large group of employees involved in supply chain operations.
• The planning and scheduling of component material to ensure on time availability to meet production and service schedules, while optimizing inventory levels.

Responsibilities:
• Learn to supervise a medium to large group of UAW employees; comply with terms of local and national agreements.
• Coordinate material and production mix requirements to meet production schedules.
• Expedite the movement of raw material, in-process and/or finished goods.
• Maintain safety and good housekeeping standards.
• Coordinate and cooperate with other departments to meet production schedules.
• Maintain accurate inventory records.
• Train, develop, and evaluate employees.
• Have frequent contact with others outside the work group.
• Meet budgeted cost targets.
• Execute quality requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.

Experience:

• Education Requirement: College undergraduate or graduate status with 1-3 years at an accredited college or university, pursuing an academic field of study related to Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or Management.

• Required Experience:

o Strong oral and written communication skills are required.

o Good interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.

o Analytical ability to solve complex problems.
• Due to International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Intern must be a United States Citizen or Permanent Resident.
