Job Description:

Intel is seeking highly qualified candidates to join our Data Center and AI group (DCAI) as a Pre-Silicon Verification/Logic Engineering intern.
Our QAT (Quick Assist Technology) hardware design team enables Data Center Technology through a set of scalable hardware accelerators, like lossless compression, network security like secure key establishment, IPSec, SSL/TLS, firewall and data center virtualization technology like SRIOV, SIOV and SVM.
Within our QAT team, you will be a member of the CPM (Content Processing Module) IP front-end design team, where you will work on verification / logic development and integration activities within the Custom Logic ASIC Engineering group in DCAI. You will play a key role in the development and integration of CPM IP into Intel Atom® and Intel® Xeon® based SOC. You will work with the IP integration teams and collaborate with the SoC design, validation, and emulation teams to ensure successful integration and validation of the CPM IP.

Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to one or more of the following:

  • Development of next-generation IP designs, including micro-architecture, RTL development, verification, and integration
  • Responsible for Register Transfer Level RTL HDL design validation, test and coverage development, and debug
  • Test bench development
  • Automating design tasks to complete the design in the most efficient fashion possible
  • Perl scripting



Length of Internship: 6+ months with the possibility to extend it as per business needs.

Qualifications:

Candidate must possess minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Experience listed below would be obtained through relevant schoolwork, internships, jobs and/or research experience.

This is an entry level position and it will be compensated accordingly.

Minimum qualifications:

Candidate must be pursuing a Master's or PhD degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering.

6+ months of experience or equivalent coursework in some of the following areas:

  • System Verilog Language or OVM or UVM or object-oriented programming language.
  • Experience with Industry standard simulation / debug tools - e.g., VCS / Verdi / ModelSim etc.
  • Scripting languages Perl or C/C++.



Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with synthesis, and timing analysis tools.
  • Experience with protocols like PCI Express / USB etc.
  • Logic design, validation/verification, or digital electronics.
  • Microprocessors or computer system architecture.
