Fall Intern - Electrical Design Engineer

WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Design and support design the design of electrical and electronics assembles including circuit boards, electronics assemblies and electrical systems
- Conduct testing on electronics assemblies and prototypes
- Conduct and present analysis of proposed circuit and system designs
- Work closely with various engineers to review and deliver designs and hardware in direct support of products
- Work in a fast-paced environment supporting new developments, active deployments, and customer operated hardware.
- Perform root cause analysis and propose solutions to board and system failures, as well as troubleshoot failures in prototype systems
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Currently enrolled in or graduate of an accredited four-year university or college for relevant degree programs (Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science or related field)
- Basic knowledge of circuit design, operation of electronics test equipment, common circuit fabrication, test, and rework
- Programming skills with an object-oriented programming language (e.g., Python, C, C++)
- Basic knowledge of physics with respect to electricity, magnetism, and electronic circuits
- Strong attention to detail, with care and consideration when handling test equipment or hardware
- U.S. Person status is required as this position needs to access export controlled data
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Pursuing a Master’s of Science or PHD in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science or related field
- Familiarity with Python for simulation, data parsing and data visualization
- Familiarity and experience with ARM based microcontrollers
- Experience with motors, motion and electromechanical systems
- Altium Experience
- Experience with Linux operating systems
