The Job
The CNN SE Bureau in Atlanta covers stories in the southeast region, which includes the states of GA/FL/AL/MS/LA/AR/TN/SC/NC. The bureau deploys reporter and producer coverage teams to the states for breaking news and enterprise stories, files stories, live shots and edited pieces for shows on CNN, CNNI, HLN, CNN.com and other platforms. Teams research, pitch and write original stories for CNN and CNN.com. Our interns help support the core functions and responsibilities of the SE Bureau and coverage teams.
The Daily:
- Work alongside correspondents and producers in story research and developing editorial information.
- Develop regional contacts while making calls on breaking news and other stories throughout the region.
- Support field teams with in-house production including pre-interviews and logging.
- Curate social media and regional story reporting.

Internship Program
- Students must be currently enrolled in a college degree program for the full duration of the internship
- Fall 2022 program dates are October 3rd - December 9th; must be available for full program duration
- Part-time schedule (16-24 hours/week) required
- Company-issued computer or secured remote access provided for the duration of the internship program.
