Come intern with Intel Cloud and enterprise solution group, and work with leading-edge Intel-based data center technologies, compute storage network and software with particular focus on SW enablement.

Responsibilities may include but not limited to:

Study the performance of emerging industry software, such as analytics and in memory databases on cloud, native stacks including containers Kubernetes etc. Identify areas of improvement in performance reliability and energy efficiency. Explore scalability of cutting edge software stacks on 100s of cores, and across clusters of machines identifying bottlenecks, and exploring optimization opportunities. Work on pathfinding projects and potentially explore opportunities for publication of results in leading industry and/or academic conferences and journals.

Length of internship: Minimum 6 months with the possibility to extend it as per business needs.

Qualifications:

Candidate must possess minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences. This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly.

These skills shortage roles are typically STEM contributing positions requiring a Master's or PhD degree, or a Bachelor's degree with three years' related job experience. Minimum Qualifications

Candidate must be pursuing MS or PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.

Minimum of 6 months experience in:

• Machine architectures including multicore, multithreaded, and superscalar processors
• Computer programming, operating system programming, performance analysis

Preferred Qualifications

Minimum of 6 months experience in:

• Technical understanding of how hardware, hypervisors, operating systems, and software work together
• Familiarity with OS kernel and common libraries such as libc, and container technologies
