AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Environmental Engineering Intern for employment in the S acramento, CA office.
This position is expected to begin May/June 2022. This is expected to be a part-time internship with an estimated duration of 6 months, however there may be flexibility to extend the hours or duration.

Job Overview:
The Engineering Intern will support our Remediation team within our Environment business line.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Assist with field work (e.g., groundwater and soil sampling, remediation system operations, site inspections)
- Assist in preparing engineering related calculations, design drawings, specifications, and visual aids
- Collect and enter data, and apply technical principles and theories to assist in interpreting and analyzing data
- Review contractor submittals for adherence to technical specifications on construction projects
- Compare investigation findings to relevant studies and provincial/federal regulations to assess compliance, draft reports documenting results and presenting findings
- Miscellaneous assignments on an as-needed basis
Minimum Requirements
- Currently in pursuit of a Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or related field
- Valid U.S. Driver's License
- Due to the nature of the work, U.S. citizenship is required
- Must have completed 1 year of study
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous internship experience in related field a plus
- Capable of using spreadsheet, word processing and standard office software
- GIS and/or CAD experience
Additional Information:
- Candidates may be asked to submit a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) screening, drug test, and/or medical surveillance screening at the time of hire.
- Relocation and sponsorship are not provided for this position.
