About You and The Role  

We design, build, and operate drones; however, to quote our CEO, Keller, “we don’t care if it gets there by dragon.” Often people need their medical supplies, instantly, and it doesn’t matter whether fairies or dragons or drones bring them, as long as they get there before someone's health worsens. Every day, people don’t get the healthcare supplies that would have saved their life if not for delivery times. 

In lieu of anything designed by George RR. Martin or Disney, we make the magic happen with fixed-wing drones--tiny planes that would be purely adorable if you didn’t know what was on the line. We’re far from perfect, but we’re also far more efficient than ground traffic and the traditional ways.

Our Emerging Talent team is hiring the next generation of entry-level talent who’s invested in equitable healthcare for all. Wait, you say, an intern hiring interns? How meta! YEP! Let’s practice what we preach! We need people invested in hiring talent that represents the world we live in. That means that you understand why it’s non-negotiable that our goals prioritize diversity, equity, and inclusion; identifying high-potential talent (vs who looks stereotypically good on paper); matching people with roles that will make them happy (trying to understand both the job and the human more deeply); and creating a positive impact on the world.

What You'll Do  

#1, you'll be a full member of our team, and we'll work with you to find what aligns with your goals and interests + the team's priorities. There’s plenty to do--we’ll game-plan a good combo that’s win-win for all of us.

That said, our goal is to kick off a program for the most talented folks in the world. That means that together we must find those special humans, facilitate an awesome onboarding experience for them, ensure that everyone is engaged in programming (including you, of course!), and gather both qualitative and quantitative lessons learned so we can uplevel the program quickly and scalably. 

Examples of some of what would help us move forward in our goals:

  • Assisting with building processes and hiring plans that provide equal opportunities to all candidates.
  • Partnering with your lead and hiring managers to create sourcing strategies that diversify our talent pipeline.
  • Researching and qualifying top prospects from underrepresented backgrounds through strong research and creative networking skills.
  • Collaborating on forecasting and dashboard development to identify trends, translating data into actionable insights and advice on metrics, and regularly analyzing and using data to measure program success and areas of improvement.
  • Collaborating with your lead on strategy to inform the architecture, development, and automation of data and analytics solutions, and execution of related action plans.
  • Developing strong partnerships across all levels of the organization. Partnering closely with cross-functional teams in People Systems, People Partnerships, Legal, Finance, affinity groups / ERG’s, and more.
  • Partnering to create compelling narratives to share findings and insights with key stakeholders, including executive leaders.
  • Examining gaps across the business to provide recommendations on headcount, role-scoping, equitable interview processes, the overall matchmaking process and what their experience looks like during the program itself.
  • Assessing and engaging external partnerships with organizations, bootcamps, community colleges across the nation, award-winning clubs that focus on everything from rockets to solar submarines, foster and youth programs, and so much more.
  • Scheduling, planning, and attending recruiting events, conferences, job fairs, and more (both virtual and in-person--all dependent on safety of course) to increase visibility across DEI-focused channels.
  • Working on Talent Branding and marketing-related tasks to design swag, add to our social media strategy, create and facilitate content creation, and otherwise get in contact with more people so we can find the best possible matches
  • Reading a lot and sharing what you learn with us so we can all grow together!
