We're looking for a high-energy, entrepreneurial, self-directed Digital Marketing Intern to collaborate with our team of global marketing and communication professionals, supporting our company's goal to elevate our global reputation through a consistent, engaging digital presence comprising our website and blog, and social media channels.

This person's year-round internship journey will help develop business acumen, communication and leadership skills, all while gaining real-world Marketing Communications experience. This is a paid internship opportunity with a flexible working arrangement.

The person selected for this position will work up to 20 hours a week starting in during the school semester and up to 32-40 hours a week May - August; there is an option to renew for up to 20 hours a week again during the Fall school semester.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Actively participate in Urban Science's formal summer intern program, including attending networking and social activities with interns from groups such as IT, Finance, Data & Analytics, and client teams.
  • Attend lunch-n-learns with business leaders, and other unique opportunities to learn about the broader business and useful career enhancing topics.
  • Curate and develop a wide range of content - e.g., copy and multimedia - for corporate web and social media channels.
  • Edit and proofread a wide variety of digital marketing materials.
  • Monitor brand mentions, both positive and negative.
  • Conduct research and benchmark, and provide recommendations on social trends, tools and best practices.
  • Manage corporate internal and external video channels to ensure content is relevant and updated.
  • Support the ongoing maintenance of our corporate website and execute website updates as needed.
  • Support the development and maintenance of various marketing metrics dashboard for monthly reporting.
  • Participate in additional Marketing projects as needs arise.



Qualifications - Education and Experience

  • Ability to think analytically and respond to complex requests/deliverables in a timely manner
  • Action oriented and successful at prioritizing multiple tasks
  • Professional demeanor with strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Able to work independently, with a high degree of initiative, poise and confidentiality
  • Intellectually curious and ability to take direction and apply it to future work
  • Solid technical proficiency including demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Proficiency and demonstrated knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photo Shop and In Design (preferred)


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Currently pursuing a Baccalaureate degree in an appropriate field such as Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Digital Media, Public Relations or related field from an accredited U.S. college or university, equivalent foreign institution, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong writing ability required; knowledge of AP style a plus.
  • Two years of collegiate study required, three preferred.
  • Graphic design and video editing skills a plus
