As a DevOps Engineer Intern at Virtualitics, you will join a group of talented developers creating and maintaining a suite of cutting-edge AI-driven, collaborative, data analytics and immersive visualization platforms that are deployable to the AWS Cloud. 

Internship Responsibilities

• Assist engineers working in AWS cloud infrastructure
  
• Assist in the building of new containers in Docker and deploying in Kubernetes
• Assist in the creation of new scripts to automate deployment
• Work closely with other teams including Engineering and QA to improve and maintain products

Skills/Experiences

Required:

• Experience and working knowledge in cloud infrastructure, preferably in AWS
• Experience setting up CI/CD pipelines to build containers in Docker
• Experience working in a Linux environment
• Strong ability and self-motivation to solve challenging problems.
• Working knowledge of Git or similar version control system.
• Ability to work in a team environment, as well as individually.
• Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

Big Bonus:

• Some experience writing Python or Bash scripts 
• Some experience with Dask or Spark
• Any experience with Kubernetes or Jenkins
• Experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, or Data Visualization.
• Available to work on site (Pasadena, CA).
