In this position you will be working on a team supporting all of Intel's Manufacturing operations which runs 24x7, 365 days a year.

Responsibilities include, but will not be limited to:

• Design, plan, and implement database systems and programs.
• Provide technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures as they relate to databases.
• Assignments may include design of data dictionaries, database structure and layout, installing, upgrading, and managing database applications.
• Administering several aspects of a project such as access methods, device allocation, and security.
• Provides technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures as they relate to databases.
• Working across multiple factories, GEOs, and services to deploy, maintain, and address DB incidents for Manufacturing IT.

In addition, the ideal candidate should also have the following skills:

• Skills to function in a global 24x7 support environment, interacting with many teams.
• Highly flexible, results-oriented and customer-oriented.
• communication skills.
• Candidates will be required to work on compressed days.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

Minimum qualifications:

• Pursing a Master's degree in Computer Science or any other related engineering field.
• Minimum 6+ months of experience in designing and managing large-scale Oracle or MSSQL databases.

Preferred qualifications:
Experience/Coursework with:

• Linux, Database High Availability, Oracle RAC technology.
• Troubleshooting techniques, analyzing and resolving difficult technical issues quickly in a high-pressure environment.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
