Multiple teams in Chewy's Supply Chain Research and Planning organization are seeking Data Scientists and Research Scientists interns to join our growing science teams. Combining a background in Supply Chain with a deep understanding of analytics and data science, you will be part of an organization responsible for strategic planning and research initiatives centered around our inventory and fulfillment.  

What you'll do: 

• Develop and implement models and algorithms to solve complex supply chain problems using operations research, statistics, and machine learning technologies
• Deep dive large supply chain data to explain change, develop insights, and provide recommendations
• Partner with Supply Chain’s functional areas (with Demand Planning, S&OP, Transportation, and Supply Planning) to streamline and optimize our Supply Chain across the board
• Implement process improvement initiatives that drive improvements to the metrics and streamline the Supply Chain

What you'll need:

• 2nd or 3rd year Ph.D. student in Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• Python mastery, and proficiency in SQL.
• Ability to understand and apply advanced mathematics and statistics.
